Selemon Barega back to Cross de Elgoibar with fantastic elite field

Selemon Barega will back in Elgoibar where he will defend his great triumph of the last year. In 2018 he was the World Leader on 5000m with 12:43.02 and he won the Diamond League after a sensational season.
Barega, who is still junior, comes from last sunday's race in Italy at Cross Campacio where he finished second after the 5000m Bronze Olympic medal in Rio '16 the ethiopian Hagois Gebrhiwet.

From Kenya there will be another junior, Stanley Waithaka (PB 13:10.14) , second place in Tampere last year at the World Junior Championship on 5000m and bronze medal at World Youth Championship in Nairobi 2017. With him a compatriot Rhonex Kipruto, World 10.000m Junior Champion last year and able to run 26:46 on 10.000m in Praha last september.
Abdelaati Iguider will be part of this crazy field, Olympic 1500m Bronze medal in 2012 and 5th place in Beijing '08 and Rio '16.

Among the spanigh athletes, there will be Antonio Abadia, Javier Guerra, Fernando Carro, Daniel Mateo, Mohamed Jelloul, Houssame Bennabou, Nassim Hassaous, Javier Garcia del Barrio, Dani Arce and Ivan Fernandez.

Women race with Helen Obiri from Kenya, World 5000m Champion last year in London and winner of Diamond League in 2018 and 2017, 5000m Bronze Olympic Medal in Rio and World Indoor Champion in 2012. With her, a world record holder will run for the victory: from Kenya, Beatrice Chepkoech 8:44 in 3000st adn winner of Diamond League last year.
From Turkey Yasemin Can, european 5000m and 10.000 champion in 2016, three time European XC Champion in the last three years and winner of Cross Campaccio last sunday.
